Invasion of Lung by Wind Cold

A

rapid labored breathing, chest oppression, coughing and expectoration of thin white or foamy phlegm; early stages also include aversion to cold, fever, h/a, lack of sweat w/o apparent thirst and aching joints
T: thin white coat
P: tight, floating
Tx: Ventilate lung, dissipate wind-cold & calm wheezing
Main Pts: LU7, LU5, UB12, UB13
stuff nose: ST3
h/a w/ aching shoulders & back: LI 7
fever & aversion to cold: SI7, Du14, LI4

Accumulation of Phlegm Heat in the Lung

A

short rapid respiration, loud husky voice, wheezing, coughing, chest oppression, expectoration of thick yellow phlegm, fever, sweating, thirst w/ pref. cold drinks, constipation, dark urine
T: yellow slimy coating
P: slippery, rapid
Tx: clear lung, transform phlegm & calm wheezing

A

SOB, feeble voice, weak forceless coughing & wheezing, spontaneous sweat, sensitivity to draughts, expectoration of thin runny phlegm
T: pale
Pulse: weak
Tx: supplement lung, boost qi & calm wheezing
Main Pts: DingChuan, UB13, UB43, LU9
for vacuity of LU + SP: UB20, ST36

Vacuity of Kidney

A

persistent wheezing aggravated by physical exertion, shallow inspiration, SOB, difficulty maintaing regular rhythm of respiration, fatigue, lassitude, physical cold, cold extremities, greenish complexion
T: pale
P: deep, weak, thready
Tx: supplement the KD and absorb qi
Main Pts: UB23, KD3, UB13, CV17, CV6, DingChuan
persistant asthma: DU12, UB43
spleen vacuity: CV12, UB20
vacuity LU qi & HT yang w/ desertion symptoms: PC6, HT7
moxa: CV6, CV4, DU4

A

Auricular: asthma, adrenal, trachea, subcortex, sympathetic
Plum Blossom: thenar eminance, forearm & along LU channel & over SCM muscle-tap lightly until skin is slightly red
