What is asthma

A
  • Chronic disorder of the conducting airways
  • Usually caused by an immunological reaction, marked by episodic bronchoconstriction
  • increased sensitivity to various stimuli
  • inflammatio of bronchial walls
  • increased mucous secretion
  • wheezing, breathlessness, chest tightness, cough
