Describe the process for raising and lowering the US Flag when half staffed.
Raise the flag to full staff then lower to half-staff. Up and Down
The US Flag will be flown:
0730 to sunset, not in inclement weather, half-staff on May 29, Memorial Day half-staff until noon
Flags in poor condition are to:
Be sent to logistics for proper disposal
Emergency repairs to facilities are to be made to:
Facilities management Office during normal hours (Form 17), DFC if after office hours
When service providers arrive to repair department buildings, who is responsible for ensuring it is completed?
Company officers
If there are problems with a service provider, who should be contacted?
FMO (facilities maintenance officer)
Upon completion of repairs by a service provider, what form should be submitted to the FMO?
Form 1 with name of provider, number of personnel, service hours, AND make a journal entry
Who should be contacted if vermin material does not eradicate rodents?
FMO for an exterminator
Lighting requirements for fuel conservation:
Work areas 30-40 foot candles, work stations 50-60 foot candles, non-work areas 10-15
Heating temperatures for fuel conservation:
Occupied areas 68, unoccupied areas 65, off if outside temp is 65, 55 on nights/weekends unoccupied
No portable heaters or fans
Air conditioning temperatures:
No lower than 80 in occupied areas
Hot water temperature:
110
Where shall TV’s be located?
In common areas, not in changing area, far from watch desk
Who is responsible for in house Emergency Generators?
FMO, if generators cycle (once a week) for 20 minutes while you are in quarters, make a journal entry
Filler Caps Markings:
Gasoline Storage Tanks: Red
Fuel Oil Storage Tanks: White with Red Stripes
Diesel fuel Storage Tanks: Yellow
