What is the branch that originates from the first part of the axillary artery?

A

It’s the superior thoracic artery (small, supplies the anterior and medial wall of the axilarry pit, originates from the anterior part of the axillary artery lumen)

What is the branch that originates from the second part of the axillary artery?

A

There are 2 branches:

1) Thoracoacromial a. - short, anterior surface, penetrates the clavi-pectoral fascia and gives 4 branches: DELTOID, CLAVICULAR, ACROMIAL AND PECTORAL
2) Lateral thoracic artery - anterior surface, supplies medial and anterior walls of the axillary pit, contributes to the blood supply of the breast.
