Runway Inspection
- 10 mins +/-
- 40km/h
- 15NM arrival gap
Runway Vacated Definition
Vis/radar shows that tail/target has passed rwy edge/Code F line, and the a/c is continuing to move forward unrestricted
Reducing Sep on FNA phraseology
“C/s traffic is
(a/c type, WT cat if heavier),
(relative position and distance),
report in sight to accept a visual approach behind”
Rwy Vacated Cond:
- H24
- Vis 3000m/+
- Continues to vacate, unobstructed until across the Hp
- Remains on freq until across the Hp
- Traffic passed to 2nd a/c
- Avble for taxiing
- Not for tows
- Deal with Level 2 RIMCAS
Reasonable Assurance Requirements
- Must have RA rwy sep will exist prior to crossing threshold
- Not until preceding landing has crossed threshold
- Traffic must be passed
- Landing Rwy incl in land clearance
- Individual judgement on application
- Not for departing following landing
Reasonable Assurance def:
High degree of confidence that the application of this technique will result in the prescribed rwy sep
Cond for App to assume RSVA
- a/c within transfer of control point
- transferred prior to reduction of min radar sep
- flying the speeds or slower

- Garex u/s btwn ARR and AIR N/S
- Both Twr ATM and GMR ins 2 u/s
- Sev w/s resulting in GA below 300ft
- Sev WTurb 300ft or below while applying red minima

- If IMC, standard IMC spacing unless co-ord
