Q
ESSENCE
A
Extra electrical pathyway connecting atria and ventricles
Normally is one pathway (atrio-ventricular node), this extra pathway is often called bundle of Kent

- For patients with antidromic AVRT (wide QRS complex) or atrial fibrillation due to WPW syndrome
- Haemodynamically stable
6
Q
Adenosine or CCB indications
A
Patients with orthodromic AVRT (narrow QRS complex)
7
Q
Electrical cardioversion indication
A
All patients haemodynamically unstable
8
Q
Radiofrequency catheter ablation indication
A
Long-term definitive treatment for patients with WPW syndrome
