ARISTOTLE'S THEORY OF KNOWLEDGE: INDUCTIVE AND DEDUCTIVE REASONING Flashcards
What is inductive reasoning?
Inductive reasoning involves making observations (usually observing the essence) to form a general conclusion- to come close to certainty
-Inductive reasoning is empirical
How is inductive reasoning different from deductive reasoning?
Deductive reasoning is based off of rationlism, where inductive reasoning is empirical
Deductive reasoning also evaluates deductive arguments and moves from one statement to the next
