Disloc- up to 5% prim THR, incrs with revision.
Prosthetic loosening- esp metal on metal. (Metal on metal also risk ALVAL, pseudo tum, soft tiss reac). START UP PAIN. Always ?infec so CRP, and check with CT.
Preiprosthetic frac- higher risk after revision. Only 1% after prim. Us after trauma. RFs OP and implant lossening. Maybe bisphosphonates.
Infec- 1-2%. Early under 3 mtnhs, can be late. Fever, suppuration, Lof. RFs- periop wound complics, obesity, eld, DM, ster use, RA. Often coag neg staph.
