Even though george III continued to fight for another year, it was a huuuge triumph for the colonies

They suspect that france wants to keep America weak so that they can control it and give land to Spain-> they go behind France’s back
Results- america gets tons of land (until the Mississippi), has to not persecute loyalists, and actually france is ok with the treaty
