area sup verbal Flashcards
List 4 situations that constitute implementing reduced visibility in the WSA?
- Loss of area perimeter lighting
- two or more consecutive WSA perimeter lights are inoperative
- ten percent (11 or more) of the total lighting is in op
- ten percent (7 or more) of the perimeter lighting is in op
when will all P2 work orders be upgraded to P1 work orders
during increased force protection conditions (FPCONS) (Bravo or higher)
what will be conducted immediately after a certified PL1 storage structure closing
- LDA will dispatch an ISRT to conduct a physical check of the locks to ensure proper closing
- ISRT will notify AS and LDA when completed
when are 90 SFS personnel responsible for the protection of any nuclear weapon movement
while within the confines of the WSA
what agencies are authorized to emergency inprocess
- fire
- AMR (american medical Response)
- USAF weapon movemnets and DoE shipments under attack
- responding SF
- Responding EOD Personnel
the main goal of SF during multiple/standoff attacks and diversions is stop, fix, close and destroy. what does this mean?
- Stop the progress of the hostile forces
- Fix in their position
- aggressively close on their position
- utilizing coordinated fields of fire, fire control and fire and maneuver to destroy them
what does an indication of duress in the WSA require
- immediate armed response
- investigation by SF
what are the four DoD Safety standards
- there shall be positive measures to prevent nuclear weapons involved in accidents or incidents, or jettisoned weapons from producing a nuclear yield
- there shall be positive measures to prevent deliberate pre-arming, arming, launching, or releasing of nuclear weapons, except upon execution of emergency war orders or when directed by competent authority.
- there shall be positive measures to prevent INADVERTENT pre-arming, arming, launching, or releasing of nuclear weapons in all normal and credible abnormal environments
- there shall be positive measures to ensure adequate security of nuclear weapons, pursuant to DOD 5210.41M
who is responsible for detecting any attempted penetration of the WSA ECP and denying entry
- WSA Entry Controller
list three examples of an unsecured Bay/Igloo/Structure
- locks not properly secured
- penetration through the doors, walls, roof or vents
- obvious signs of tunneling, tampering or blasting
- not properly guarded/unattended hot structure/bay/igloo not under alarmed protection
who has full authority to enter any building or structure by force in the event of an actual emergency that threatens life or resources
Senior fire official
what are the four perimeter sensors
- Fiber optic intrusion detection system (FOIDS)
- Vertical Taut Wire Sensor (VTWS)
- Infrared perimeter intrusion detection sensor (IPIDS)
- Permitrax buried cable intrusion detection sensor
what are the closing procedures for alarmed administrative area
- AS will be dispatched to the facility to conduct a “Joint end of day” walk of the interior of the facility.
- when the locks are secured to the M&I Facility main door, the AS will contact the LDAO and RDAO via landline to notify control centers that check was complete, locks are in place and secure
- The AS will put MUNS personnel on the phone to authenticate with LDAO and RDAO utilizing code of the day procedures
- LDAO and RDAO will verify the MUNS personnel on the AAAL
- Ensure MUNS control is online and monitoring the closing
- After good authentication, the LDAO will secure the M&I facility alarms (RDAO will grant) and wait for good reset of alarms
what are the three categories of deviations
technical
temporary
permanent
how can the WSA RF prepare to deal with multiple attacks/ stand-off attack/diversions
can only come from instinct, planning/exercising a myraid of possible scenarios and quick reaction drills until they become second nature
what are the procedures for a authentication during the opening of a bay/igloo/structure
For initial misauthentication, LDAO/RDAO will:
-Have the key team stand by with the opening and cease all opening/closing procedures.
-dispatch AS and an ISRT to the affected structure/Bay
AS and an ISRT will:
- Challenge and remove all personnel from the area of the structure/bay and position the individual facing away from the resource
-have forces instruct maintenance guard to place their weapon on the ground,if applicable
-have forces take control of the guards weapon and place themselves between the individuals and the resources
-ensure locks are in place
-ensure maintenance personnel are positively identified via their AECS card against the pronouncement notification
-in the absence of further duress, the AS will authenticate with the LDAO, brief the key team on proper authentication procedures and allow re-authentication. have SF remain in position
list four things special security instructions define
- post limits
- communications available
- entry requirement
- checklist for respective post
although compensatory measures are different, by definition, than regular security measures they must provide what
comparable level of security
