* Crewmembers in other U.S. services with rated aviation service
* Crewmembers of foreign services with appropriate training and authorization
* Individuals receiving instruction under approved programs
* Flight surgeons or aeromedical physician assistants under specific conditions
* Officers not having completed UAS qualification course performing payload operator duties

Procedures for award of aeronautical designations are in AR 600 – 105 and AR 600 – 106.
