After starting the APU, how long should you delay before selecting the BL AIR switch to ON?

A

Wait two minutes after APU RUN advisory light illuminates before selecting APU BL AIR switch on.

“A warm-up period of 2-5 minutes with no load or generator-only load is recommended when the APU is first started.

A

All of them: The Main, Aux and Standby Batteries, and the BATTERY MASTER.

Is the APU fire protection system automatic or manual?

A

Automatic.

(And all of the battery switches must be on in order to provide APU fire detection: The Main, Stand-by and Aux, and the Battery Master).

A

Upper: +50C or ISA + 35 C, whichever is lower
Lower: -54C
Note: prior to start, at temperatures below -35
C, the APU must be preheated.
