Staking bare rooted tree.

A

1) drive stake in firmly, about 30cm below bottom of planting hole. Stake should have been treated with preservative and on the side from which the prevailing wind blows
2) plant tree, stem should be about 8cm from stake.
3) using tie with spacer stake close to the top of stake, standards may need two ties. Check and adjust ties regularly.

A

1) plant tree.
2) drive stake into the soil at an angle, on the side away from which the prevailing wind blows so that it is pointing into the prevailing wind.
3) fix tie, check and adjust regularly.
