Persistent pain RLQ at McBurney's point Increase pain with cough, sneeze, deep breath Localized pain Rebound tenderness N/V Lie still with right leg flexed

less pain, slight fever, pain at hip bone

Preoperative
A
Administer IV fluids and analgesia Neuro assessment before giving pain meds Keep NPO Monitor VS Antiemetics

What diagnosis test do they use for Appendicitis?
A
CT scan with contrast

What can cause a rupture?
A
Warm blanket will increase inflammation
Cannot give enema
No pain means it has ruptured
