What are the 3 things to look out for to find contractions?
- s at the end of a word
- pronouns
- not
If there is an ‘s’ at the end of a word, how will you know when to put an apostrophe?
- check if it’s posesion or contraction
- check for possession by seeing if the word after it belongs to it
- check for contraction by separating the words and seeing if it makes sence in the sentence
What words usually follow pronouns in contractions? (8)

What is the exception for Apostrophe of Possession?
