Can be caused by damage to arcuate fasciculus

Can’t repeat phrases such as, “No ifs, ands, or buts.”

No connection between what they hear and what they say verbally

Higher-order inability to speak
Aphasia - language deficit
Motor inability to speak
Dysarthria - movement deficit
Located in inferior frontal gyrus of frontal lobe

Located in superior temporal gyrus of temporal lobe
Wernickes
Cerebral artery that supplies the anterior medial surface = legs
ACA
Cerebral artery that supplies the lateral surface = mouth/face/hands
