This is based on operant conditioning. Behavior is shaped by connecting a positive or negative reinforcement to a behavioral response.

What are task-oriented groups?
The process of producing something as a group with end product to provide shared experience. Feedback is immediate to address problems when they happen.

focus on function and replicate living in the community or family to offer direct experience and use activity to develop skills.
What is the Lifestyle Performance Model by Fidler?
States that activity patterns constitutes a lifestyle. It fosters autonomy.
Basic concepts include Reciprocal interpersonal relatedness(connection with others), intrinsic gratification (fun/pleasure), societal contributions (doing things benefit others), self-care/management.
What is clubhouse model?
Community centers that provide work/recreation opportunities.
Focus on members strengths and no therapists/psychiatrists on site as staff.
Members voluntarily participate.
