A

Rx: Infections w/ Giardia, Entamoeba, Trichomonas; Amebiasis

MOA: reduced by pyruvate:ferredoxin oxidoreductase (PFOR) into active form –> disrupt protein/DNA structure and function, absorbs electrons

SE: Disulfiram-like effects (must avoid ETOH), HA, N/V, metallic taste

Resistance: ↓ PFOR activity
