Antineoplastic, alkylating agents. Cross links in DNA, not platinum containing
Melphalan, Busulfan
Antineoplastic. Alkylating agent. Inhibits DNA synthesis via causing cross linkages. Contains platinum.
Cisplatin
Antineoplastic, alkylating agent. Forms cross linkages between DNA strands and prevents DNA synth. Can cause hemorrhagic cystosis via acrolein intermediate.
Cyclophosphamide
Antineoplastic, antimetabolite. Folate antimetabolite that inhibits DNA synthesis, repair and cellular replication. Irreversibly binds to dihydrofolate reductase inhibiting the formation of reduced folates, and thymidylate synthetase, resulting in inhibition of purine and thymidylic acid synthesis
Methotrexate
Antineoplastic, anthracycline. Inhibition of DNA and RNA synthesis by intercalation between DNA base pairs by inhibition of topo II and by steric obstruction. Iron chelator, free radical production which cleaves DNA and cell membranes
Doxorubicin
Inactivates acrolein via adding a thiol group. Administered with cyclophosphamide to prevent side effects
Mesna
Antineoplastic. Binds to TopoII and inhibits DNA replication.
Etoposide
Antineoplastic and alkylating agent. Alkylates DNA at the N7 position of guanine
Ifosfamide
Antimetabolic agent. Inhibits DNA synthesis and repair; inhibits ribonucleotide reductase; incorporation drug triphosphate into DNA; induction of apoptosis synthetic purine antag
Fludarabine
Antimetabolic agent. Inhibits DNA chain elongation, DNA synthesis and repair; inhibits ribonucleotide reductase with reduced formation of dNTPs; incorporation of drug into DNA
Cytarabine
Used in junction with methotrexate to increase tetrahydrofolate supply
