Dilantin (Phenytoin)

Anticonvulsant
Use for prevention of tonic clinic seizures and focal seizures
The normal therapeutic range for children and adults is 10 to 20 μ/mL (8 to 15 μ/mL in newborns).
SE- Headaches, nausea, vomiting, constipation
Phenytoin toxicity:
The neurotoxic effects are concentration dependent and can range from mild nystagmus (involuntary eye movements) to ataxia (impaired balance and coordination), slurred speech, vomiting, lethargy and eventually coma and death.

Used to treat epilepsy
It is used for partial-onset, myoclonic, or tonic–clonic seizures
SE-Drowsiness, unusual tiredness, dizziness, weakness
