Describe the engine anti-ice system
A
when selected, NAI uses bleed air as long as the PRV valve is open

When is NAI required?
A
Icing conditions (10C or below and visible moisture or dew point spread < 3C) and in descent with SAT < -40C for engine flameout mitigation

What type of engine operation must be observed before takeoff with NAI on?
A
30 second sunup to 60% N1 at intervals no more than 30 minutes if OAT < 3C

How can you tell if NAI is on?
A
green NAI indication by respective N1 on primary EICAS

A
no

yes in the air but it is ineffective
