How would a patient with anterior uveitis usually present?

A
  • acute onset
  • ocular pain
  • small, irregular pupil due to sphincter muscle contraction
  • photophobia
  • blurred vision
  • red eye
  • lacrimation
  • ciliary flush: a ring of red spreading outwards
  • hypopyon; pus and inflammatory cells in the anterior chamber
  • visual acuity initially normal then becomes impaired
