What is fundal height

A

§ Important measure of fetal well-being, helps to estimate gestational age of fetus
§ During 2nd and 3rd trimesters (18-30 weeks…) fundal height in cm approximately equals fetal age in weeks + 2 cm
§ 16 weeks halfway between symphysis pubis and umbilicus
§ 20 – 22 weeks at approximately the umbilicus
