What happened?
A
Hitler encouraged the Austrian Nazi Party to cause trouble in Austria.
When it became clear that Britain and France weren’t going to help, the Chancellor Schschnigg resigned.
The Germany army then went into Austria and got rid of anyone who opposed Hitler.
A month later there was a vote to see if the Austrian people wanted to be apart of Germany and 99% voted yes.

What were the consequences?

Hitler now had Austria’s resources and army.
He becomes more confident because he’s got rid of another part of the Treaty.
