Q

Harlow (1959)

A

put 8 monkeys in the presence of 2 wire mothers with 2 different heads: one as a food source and one as a source of comfort. They found that all monkeys spent most time with the comfort mother than the feeding bottle and even when they fed from the other, it was quick before they returned to the comfort showing that infants form attachments based more on comfort
