Pharraoh Amenhotep IV, Nefertiti and Queen Nefertiti

A

Pharrohs that came after Amenhotep tried to eradicate after he was gone. He switched religion and tried to convert his people. Sun (Aten) was at the center of his Religion
Built new city which was eventually discovered. He changed his name from Amenhatep to Akenaten and Nefertiti to Neferferaten. Raised Tutankhaten (Tutankhamen)

Narmer Pallet c. 3100 - 3000 BCE (Great Hierakonpolis Palette)

A

Oldest known historical document. Ceremonial pallet, to grind up mineral pigment (makeup). Thought to maybe paint makeup on statue. Depicted Narmer’s reign
Depicts the unification of upper and lower Egypt. Not a peaceful pallet. Symbolism.

Rosetta stone

A

allowed people to translate hieroglyphics. 196 BCE King Tolme had decree discribed in 3 languages, Egyptian hiroglyphics, Egyptian demotic, and greek. Very exciting discovery. Used as building supply. 
One of Napoleon’s solider Pierre Francouis Bouchard found it. It is now in the British museum since 1802, most viewed. It really belongs to Egypt.
