PNF (proprioceptive neuromuscular fascilitation)

A

Stretching technique using the body’s stretch reflex

PNF precautions:
1. Works best done gently, inensity-wise somewhere around 5-6 out of 10
2. The smaller the muscle(group), the more gentle you should be
3. Get warm, before starting with PNF!

PNF steps:
1.Move into a light stretch first.
2. Remain in the stretch, but activate the muscle with about 50% for a few seconds
3. Relax and get a bit deeper into the stretch
4. Move out of the stretch and let the muscle recover for at least 30 sex
5. Repeat 2-4 times
