Pleurisy
Inflammation on any of pleura usually on parietal pleura- this one more sensitive to pain
Pleural effusion
Lots of fluid, chest drain used
Pleural rub
Not enough fluid, can hear rub on stethescope
Pneumothorax
When air introduced into space
Haemothorax
Blood bleeding into space
Viceral pleura
Adheres to lung, lines outer surfaces
Parietal pleura
On inside of thoracic wall, lines thoracic cavity

Upper
Middle

How many lobes does the left lung have and what are they?
2 lobes

What does the oblique fissure separate?
The upper and lower lobe
What does the horizontal fissure separate?
The Upper and Middle lobe

At what level does the IVC cross the diaphragm?
