What is the urethra?
Small mucous membrane lined tube, extending from the trigone to the exterior of the body
In a female where does the urethra lie and about how long is it?
In female, lies posterior to symphysis pubis and anterior to the vagina; approximately 3 cm long
In a male how long is the urethra?
20 cm
In a male after leaving the bladder what is the path of the urethra?
It passes through the prostrate gland, is joined by 2 ejaculatory duct. It extends to the base of the penis(through the center of the penis) and ends in the urinary meatus.
