The genitofemoral nerve arises from, innervates and can be injured when.

A

Arises from anterior division of L1, L2.
Runs on the anterior surface of psoas
divides femoral and genital branhes. Femoral brach runs along esterna iliac arteru and suplies skin in triangle below inguinal ligament.
Genital branch enters inguinal ring along round ligament and supplies labia minor and part of mons.
Injured on sidewall esp in LN dissection.

The Illiohypogatric nerve arises from, innervates and can be injured when.

A

anterior diviosn of L1.
Passes anterior tot he SIS ans spplies motor fibres to the internal lbiq and transverses muscles. Cutanous to mons / suprapubic area
Can be injured in transverse abdominal incisions esp wide like Maylard.

A

Arises from L1
EMerges from lateral border of the psoas major. just inferiot tothe iliohypgatric and passes across quadrtus lumboram and iliacus.
Motor to the anterior abdominal wall
Sensory sory to the labia majora and inner thigh.
Can be injured with Transverse abdominal incision.
