Masseter – O: inf.border of zyg.arch. I: Angle of mand. N: masseteric branch of V3. A: elevate and protrude mand.
Temporalis – O: temporal fossa. I: coronoid process and ant.border of ramus. N: temporal branch of V3. A: elevate
and retrude mand.
Medial Pterygoid – O: DEEP – med.surface of lat.ptery.plate. SUPER – max.tuberosity. I: angle of mand. N:
med.ptery.branch of V3. A: elevate and protrude mand.
Lateral Pterygoid – O: SUP – great wing of sphenoid. INF – lat.surface of lat.ptery.plate. N: lat.ptery branch of V3. A:
depress, protrude and lateral deviation of mand.
