Humeral midshaft fracture

Medial - origin, motor, sensory, injury

A

C6,8, T1
LOAF muscles (Lateral two lumbricals, Opponens pollis, Abductor pollis brevis, Flexor pollis brevis)
Palmar aspect of lateral 3½ fingers
Wrist lesion - thenar paralysis, carpal tunnel
Elbow - loss of pronation, weak wrist flexion

Intrinsic muscles of hand (except LOAF)
Medial 1 1/2 fingers
Medial epicondyle fracture, Damage may result in a ‘claw hand’

Often during sport e.g. following a blow to the ribs. Also possible complication of mastectomy
