What are the borders of the cubital fossa?
Lateral border: brachioradialis
Medial border: pronator teres
Superior border: imaginary line between the lateral and medial epicondyles of the humerus
Floor: supinator and brachialis muscles
Roof: brachial fascia, bicipital aponeurosis, superficial fascia, skin
What are the 5 contents of the cubital fossa?
Brachial artery (as it divides into radial and ulnar arteries)
deep accompanying veins of the brachial, radial and ulnar arteries
Median nerve
Radial nerve (dividing into deep and superficial branch)
Biceps brachii tendon
What 4 components lie superficial to the cubital fossa?
Median cubital vein
Basilic vein
Cephalic vein
Medial and lateral antebrachial cutaneous nerves
