What is anatomical position?
Someone standing with feet shoulder length apart, arms down at the sides with palms facing forward
What does anterior mean?
front of the body
What does posterior mean?
back of the body
What does superior mean?
Up/ Towards the head
What does inferior mean?
Its downwards/ towards the feet
What does proximal mean?
closer to another part
What does distal mean?
further from a specific part
What does medial mean?
Towards the midline of the body
What does lateral mean?
away from the midline of the body
What does superficial mean?
Towards the skin
What does deep mean?
away from the skin or inside of the body

Abdomen/ Abdominal
What is the anatomical term for shoulder?
Shoulder/Acromial

Antebrachium/Antebrachial
