Second line - adenosine

A
Bronchospasm, flushing, chest pain
Contraindicated in asthma

Verapamil/diltiazem/beta blockers

Must do thyroid tests
-also need to do ECG in absolutely anyone with AF

A
Variability in the R-R intervals
No clear P waves
QRS is rapid and irregular (120-180bpm)
