What is the purpose of a flow widget?
so the Analyst can understand and explore the “as-is” process flow.
what are the two widgets that visualize process flows (variants)?
- process discovery
- variant explorer
How do these 2 widgets visualise process flows?
by backtracking the executed events
Where is the process discovery widget seen?
automatically displayed at the top of your investigations
What does the process discovery widget do?
focuses on visualizing the different executed flows (variants) of a process and providing an overview of the actual AS-IS state
What is a variant explorer?
Each different flow of events can be considered a process variant. The variant explorer, lists them up and provides insights to the most common/most expensive variant.
What does the activities slider do?
visualise more or less steps
What does the paths slider do?
display the different sequence flows of your process aka. shows you all the variants
What filter can be applied to variant epxlorer?
You can decide between with conformance or without conformance to filter the result, but this requires a linked BPMN to your data (explored later)
(Variant Explorer Widget) What does the connection between 2 activities show?
activity details like how long they took
(Variant Explorer Widget) What are the 3 options of manipulating line thickness between activities?
- default, so line size have no significance
- based on number of occurrences of cases
- based on duration between 2 events
(Variant Explorer Widget) What additional features does this widget have?
- can generate BPMB
- Generate insights manually or automatically
- view number of cases and sort by occurrences (no. of cases), order amount, cycle type (avg)
- view number of cases as percentages or integar
What level can filters be applied to?
investigation, chapter, or even widget level
What will filters to do the data?
add or remove cases from the data
