2. Half fill beaker with water
3. Pour 4cm3 water into watch glass, weigh and record mass.
4. Place on top of beaker until all water has evaporated away.
5. Remove, dry and reweigh
6. Calculate the mass of the dissolved solids using the new mass-original mass of watch glass
