Adverse reactions:

A

Ototoxicity
(CN VIII) (mainly relating to dose) patient may have symptoms of fullness in the ears, tinnitus, or vertigo.

Nephrotoxicity
(Increased by pre-existing renal damage & by co-administration with certain cephalosporins and loop diuretics
