What was the Hays code?
It was a set of rules about films and it said no nudity and no long screen kisses. Also adultery couldn’t be seen as attractive and the clergy couldn’t be shown as comic characters or villains.
How was jazz music important?
It was a type of music based on black American slave songs and was improvised. Popular jazz musicians such as Louis Armstrong helped to spread the music, as well as radios who played it.
What dances were inspires by jazz music?
Dances like the Charleston and Black Bottom became very popular with young people. Also the foxtrot and Lindy Hop were created.
