What is inequality?
The condition of being unequal in social economic or political grounds (not having the same opportunity as others)

The peace agreement made at the end of the war
What is the League of Nations? And how did the Americans vote towards it?
It asked whether the USA should enter the peace keeping organisation and they voted no as they didn’t want to get involved with other countries problems

Prohibition, as a reaction to reduce rising crime rates in big cities like Chicago and Washington

He had a policy called ‘America first’ where he talked about plans to normality where America only focused on their own problems

In the middle of the 1920s / two immigrants who were unfairly arrested for the murder of 2 American police guards which shows the US’ views towards foreigners after WW1

They gained the right to vote in national elections (2 years after British women were granted the right)
What happened in 1921 to do with immigration laws?
American put a limit on the amount of people who could move to the US for work (worried immigrants would take their jobs and bring other countries problems with them)

In 1922, it put a tax on foreign goods — hope to encourage Americans to buy their own good instead
What was the ‘Johnson reed immigration act’ and when was it passed?
1924, a law reducing down the number of people granted entry into the USA from other countries — limited immigrants to 2% of the population

It had risen to 23 million which was 1/4 families

The invention of machines to do household chores (Greta inventions such as vacuum cleaners, fridge-freezer)
