Absence of menses

What is primary amenorrhoea
A
When menstruation has not started by the age of 16yrs in the presence of normal secondary sexual characteristics or 14 years in the absence of other evidence of puberty.

What is secondary amenorrhoea
A
Absence of periods for at least 6 months in a woman who previously had regular periods, or 12 months if she has had oligomenorrhoea (less frequently than 6 weekly)
