Malignant Hyperthermia

A

defect in the skeletal muscle sarcoplasmix reticulum which causes:
masseter spasm/trismus
sustained tetanic muscle contractions
rapid increase in temperature (as high as 110 degrees)
increased ETCO2
tachycardia/HTN
