Airplane General Flashcards
What is the wingspan of the CL605?
64’ 4”
How many occupants can the CL605 carry?
19 pax+3 crew
Where is the avionics bay located?
Under the floor.
Can the cargo bay door be opened from the inside?
Yes, both outside and inside.
Is the aft equipment bay pressurized?
No, it’s behind the pressure bulkhead.
How can the overwing emergency exit be opened?
The emergency exit can be opened from both the inside and the outside.
How do you know when your seat is properly aligned?
When the white eye-locator ball is in the center of the corresponding orange ball.
Minimum width required for a 180 degree turn?
61 ft
What is the pitch attitude for takeoff? For go-around?
12 degrees T/O
10 degrees GA
What is the variant of the 605?
Cl600-2B16
How many static wicks are there?
22
How many static wicks may be missing?
One depending on location. Reference MEL/CDL (call MX if noticed)
What does GCS stand for in the radar menu?
Ground Clutter Supression
What does TARGET mode do on the radar?
If this mode is selected it scans for weather automatically. If weather is found you will receive an amber message on your PFD alerting you to pull up your radar.
What does a magenta color in weather radar depict?
Turbulence or intense rain. If looking for turbulence you need to be in TURB only mode.
What does an amber USTB on your PFD mean?
It means your radar is no longer maintaining stability due to loss of IRS. Aircraft needs to be in level flight with wings level for an accurate weather depiction.
What is the radar’s max range for painting weather?
65nm
When does the lightning detect system activate?
It is linked to the WOW sensors. It activates automatically upon takeoff. Radar does not have to be activated for lightning detection to work.
When turning the HDG knob the autopilot banks ________.
27 degrees
procedures 2-31
What is the CL605’s height?
19ft 2in
Max steering angle
52 to 55 degrees
What is the selectable temp range for the cockpit and cabin in NORMAL mode?
15c to 32c (60F - 90F)
What is the selectable temp range for the cockpit and cabin in MANUAL mode?
2c - 93c (35F - 200F)
How high of an altitude can you select?
50,000ft
How much less fuel can you carry when gravity refueling?
7%
What is max usable fuel?
20,000lbs
Which tank has a dump valve?
TAIL tank only
How many ejector pumps help feed the engine? How many boost and engine pumps?
- 6 ejector
- 6 engine driven (3 per engine)
- 2 electric boost pumps
Max refueling pressure
55 PSI
Which fuel tanks feed the engines?
Left and Right collector tanks
How much air pressure is needed to start the engine?
- 40psi off APU
- 45psi off start cart
- 60psi off other engine
Why is the bulk fuel temp measured from the left tank?
The right tank fuel is used to cool the APU generator. The fuel absorbs the heat from the generator and is returned to the right tank. This would lead to a higher tank reading on the right side so we only measure temp from the left.
At what level does the AUX keep the MAIN tanks?
93% or 4,500lbs
CG = ?
Total moment/Total weight
How is performance data calculated?
Minimum guaranteed engine thrust with allowances made for the installation effects, including bleed and mechanical horsepower extraction
Vmca
116kts
Vmcl
116kts
What does the takeoff configuration warning check?
- Parking Brake
- Flaps
- Autopilot
- Spoilers
- Horizontal Stab Trim
When are messages inhibited during takeoff?
Aircraft is on the ground, N1 above 79%, and airspeed above 80kts.
When are messages inhibited in the air?
Aircraft is in the air, gear down, radio altitude below 200ft.
