Airspeed
The speed of an AC in relation to the air through which it is passing.
Altitude
Distance above sea level.
Auxiliary power unit (APU)
A small engine used to operate a generator that supplies direct current power to an AC when the engines are shut down. This is generally used to power AC while parked at the gate.
Attitude
The position of the AC as determined by the inclination of its axis in some reference, usually the earth.
Bank
Tilting the AC at an angle while turning right or left
Bulkhead
Dividing wall in the AC
Cabin
Where the customers are seated
Deadhead
Transportation for non-working Crew members back to base or to cover a flight

Doghouse
A small compartment in the AC cabin to stow equipment

The body of the AC where the wing and tail are attached

The kitchen
Ground power unit
A power source on the ground that powers the AC when the engines are not operating
Ground speed
The speed of the AC in relation to the ground. A combo of airspeed plus or minus the head winds and tail wind components.
Gross weight
The total weight of AC when fully loaded.
Hardstand
A remote area Where aircrafts park, they require everyone to exit via stairs.
Inboard
The area in the cabin nearest the cente of the AC
Leading eege
The forward edge of the wing
Main cabin
The economy or coach section of the customer cabin
Outboard
The area closest to the exterior of the AC
Placard
Sticker or posting in AC cabin with information
Ron
When and AC is Remaining Over Night at a station

Tail number
Fleet number painted near the rear of the AC as well as placard on the flight deck door & in the aft galley. AKA ship number
