If GEN1 or GEN2 fails in flight, what pilot action is required to ensure that Supplies are maintained to the Electrical System?

A

None.

The opposite generator, or the APU Gen will replace the failed generator automatically.

If AC1 Fails, what pilot action is required to regain supply to it?

A

If it does not automatically recover, Use the AC ESS FEED p/b.

This connects AC ESS to AC2 rather than AC1 and hopefully restores it.

AC BUS 1 normally supplies the AC ESS BUS, and, via the TR1, the DC ESS BUS.
In the case of an AC BUS 1 FAULT, the AC ESS BUS and the DC ESS BUS will automatically recover, due to the fact that the AC BUS 2 will automatically supply the AC ESS BUS.
If AC BUS 2 does not automatically supply the AC ESS BUS, the flight crew can recover the AC ESS BUS and the DC ESS BUS by setting the AC ESS FEED pb-sw to ALTN, as requested by the AC ESS BUS FAULT ECAM procedure.
