- Significant airspeed variations occur
- Sufficient Runway to STOP the aeroplane

- THRUST LEVERS …………..TOGA
- Announce …………“WINDSHEAR TOGA”
- REACHING VR ………….ROTATE
- SRS ORDERS ………….FOLLOW
If necessary the flight crew may pull sidestick fully back
Note:
- AP disengages if AoA > Alpha Prot
- If FD bars not displayed, initially 17.5

If necessary pull the sidestick fully back

- AP disengages if AoA > Alpha Prot
- If no FD, initial 17.5

Full backstick may be used
Notes:
- AP disconnects if AoA > Alpha Prot
- If no FD, 17.5º, increase if necessary

during Landing?
- GO-AROUND…………..PERFORM
If necessary use full backstick.

- If no FD, 17.5º, increase if necessary.
TCAS
What are your immediate actions to
a TCAS RA?
- Announce……..”TCAS, I HAVE CONTROL.”
- AP……………………OFF
- FDs………………..OFF
Respond proptly & smoothly in PITCH as
required by the RA.
EGPWS
On hearing:
“PULL UP” - “TERRAIN TERRAIN PULL UP”
“TERRAIN AHEAD PULL UP”
“OBSTACLE AHEAD PULL UP”
What are your immediate actions?
- AP………………………OFF
- PITCH…………FULL BACKSTICK, MAINTAIN
- THR LEVERS……..TOGA
- Announce………….”PULL UP TOGA.”
- SPD BRAKES……CHECK RETRACTED
Maintain until flight path safe (MSA)
& warning has stopped
LOSS OF BRAKING
What are your immediate actions
when you realise you have no
brakes?
IF NO BRAKING AVAILABLE:
- REVERSE………………MAX
- BRAKE PEDALS…….RELEASE
- A/SKID & N/W STRG…….OFF
- BRAKE PEDALS………..PRESS
- MAX BRK PR…………….1000 PSI
IF STILL NO BRAKING:
- PARKING BRAKE…….SHORT APPLICATIONS

IF YOU ARE OPERATING AS PF?
- CREW OXY MASKS…………..ON
Establish communications
- Announce…….EMERGENCY DESCENT
- ALT KNOB……….PULL & TURN
- HDG KNOB…….PULL (& TURN)
- SPD/MACH KNOB….PULL
- Mach/Spd Changeover button…SPEED
- FMAs…………..CHECK
- THR LEVERS (if no A/THR)….IDLE
- SPD BRK…….SLOWLY TO FULL
2nd LOOP is to Refine these settings, then;
- Announce…..”MY RADIOS, EMER DESCENT CHECKLIST FROM QRH.”

Unreliable Air Speed?
- Announce………“UNRELIABLE SPEED”
- AP…………….OFF
- FD…………..OFF
- THRUST/PITCH:
- Below THR RED ALT……TOGA/15º
- Above THR RED ALT….CL/10º BLW FL100
- Above THR RED ALT….CL/5º ABV FL100
- FLAPS…….Maintain Current CONFIG
- GEAR……………..UP
When at/above MSA or Circuit Alt….Level Off for Troubleshooting
STALL RECOVERY

when Stall indications or
warinings are heard/observed?
