What are aims?
A
-What the purpose is of a piece of research.

What is Hypothesis?
A
The prediction of what the results will be.
-This can directional, in which the expected effect of a variable is stated, or non directional, where a difference is predicated, but not the nature of the difference, or null, which predicts that there will be no difference between the conditions.

When do we use directional hypothesis?
A
-When the findings of previous research suggest a certain outcome.

When do we use the non-directional hypothesis?
A
When there is no pre-exiting research or pre-existing research contradicts each other.
