A hypothesis is a proposed explanation of an observable event compared to the aim which is used to prove or disprove the hypothesis

Aka a one tailed hypothesis= states the direction of the predicted difference between two conditions or two groups of participants

Aka a two tailed hypothesis= simply predicts that there will be a difference between two conditions without stating the direction of the difference
