-reduce UTI, may assist uncicumsised child with recurrent UTI, routinely it is not indicated
-reduce incidence of STI although remains controversial, some evidence points towards dicrease in HIV
-Indicated for PHIMOSIS and its prevention
-appropriate care for foreskin minimal, until can be restracted easily at about 5 years
-risk of carcinoma reduced,HPV poor hygiene, but if cleaned properly rarely seen
