adrenergic and cholinergic receptor locations Flashcards
1
Q
what receptors are in the eye? what do they do?
A
- a1: contracts dialator for pupil dialation; decreases aqueous humour
- a2: decreases aqueous humour thru decreased b2 activation
- b1/b1: increase aqueous humour
- M3: contract muslces to drain aqueous humour; pupil constriction.
2
Q
what receptors are in the heart? what do they do?
A
- b1: increase heart activity
- M2: decrease heart activity
3
Q
what receptors are in the blood vessels? what do they do?
A
- a1: vasocontriction
- b2: vasodialation
4
Q
what receptors are in the GI tract? what do they do?
A
- a1: contraction of muscle at sphincters for decreases motility
- a2: decrease ACh release for decreased motility
- b2: relaxes smooth muslcle for decreased motility
- M3: contracts smooth muscle for increased motility
5
Q
what receptors are in the bladder? what do they do?
A
- a1: contracts smooth muscle at sphincters for decrease urination
- b2: relaxes smooth muscle for decreased urination
- M3: contraction of smooth muscle for increased urination
